What is a good non-governmental organizations to do a research paper on?

Please provide the website. Why do u think is a good non-governmental organization that try to make a positive differences in the world?

1. PETA... a lot of people won't agree because they aren't vegetarian or whatever, but even if you aren't into all that, it's still a pretty interesting organization.
2. Do your paper on the Red Cross. They help people all over the world regardless of their political standing in the rest of the world. They are a true inspiration and model for how the governments of the world should behave.
3. Make A Wish Foundation. I think this would be an excellent one since it is common and basically could helping kids pursue their dreams. It would make a positive difference because they allow kids dreams to come true and give them hope and strength, something the government does not fund for as often. Site: www.wish.org
